The CourseVashon Island offers runners and walkers exquisite scenery. The 10K race course follows paved country roads with some challenging hills along what our locals call "The Dilworth Loop". There is a turn-around at the end 159th and near the end of Glen Acres. You will be rewarded with some fantasic water views on the 10K course!
Some people run hoping to beat their personal best time or their best friend. Others walk and talk , and stop for tea along the way. The 10K and 5K runs are sanctioned by USATF . Chip timing is conducted by Budu Racing. Click HERE to view last year's results. (Please note that the 5K walk is not an official race and prizes are not awarded).
The Bill Burby 10K Run and 5K Walk/Run is held during the annual Strawberry Festival. After the race, participants can witness the quirky parade, swing to live music, eat festival food or check out the arts and crafts for sale. Bring the whole family and make a day of it.
The race starts promptly at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 20th.
